What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of the inward change in your life. It is the next step once you’ve become a follower of Jesus Christ. It is also a time of celebration as your friends, family and the entire FC family gather to cheer for you on that special day.
Pastor Dave Speaks On Water Baptism
Baptism is an important step in your relationship with God and we’d love for you to be a part of the celebration, happening during each service, on Sunday, September 14. You no longer need to register, just show up to the baptism orientation where you’ll receive specific details for the day. Orientations will take place at 8:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in Whittier and 10:00 a.m. in Signal Hill (30 min. before each service).
At our Whittier campus, the orientation will take place in room 302. The easiest way to the room is to use the staircase in the courtyard. In Signal Hill, the orientation will take place in the multi-purpose room adjacent to the auditorium. There will be FC volunteers at both campuses available to direct you.
Following the orientation, you will attend the Celebration Service and will be directed to the baptism area at the appointed time. We ask that everyone being baptized bring a change of clothing, a towel and flip flops. There will be designated areas for you to change into the clothes you will be baptized in, as well as to change back into the clothes you arrived in following your baptism. There will also be a photo wall and photographer at both campuses to take pictures of you with your family and friends, as well as during your baptism. The photos will be posted on our Whittier and Signal Hill Facebook pages.
